From its launch in 2003 I was a partner at jam. The store won both national and local awards and it was a great experience being on the high street.
I developed own label product ranges including the trademark 'Love Handmade' collection, offered a gift basket service and I also managed the visual merchandising and window dressing.
I thoroughly enjoyed managing all the marketing and e-commerce for jam - it was a lovely brand to work with.
In 2011 I founded the Unique Wakefield brand to support small businesses in Wakefield City Centre.
This project connected businesses with potential customers and helped build community spirit.
Look Up Wakefield
A lighthearted social media campaign to develop pride in Wakefield by encouraging local folk to tweet their photos of places and buildings in and around Wakefield.
Busy Being in Wakefield
An own label range of merchandise for jam. This was a successful product range which was totally unique to us.
Secrets of the City
jam commissioned a piece of artwork from a local illustrator which featured lots of little known facts about Wakefield. It proved to be a popular artwork and got people talking about the City.

Wood Street Market
I was one of the organisers of this series of community events. The markets attracted people into the area and animated the public spaces on Wood Street with performances from local musicians. It was a fantastic project that I am proud to have been a part of.
